KLFC School of Ministry

The program consists of a structured, two-year (24-month), semester-based training program following a college-style academic calendar. Classes are offered on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 PM PST and must be attended on the same day each week.

THE CALL (Ministerial Ethics & Protocol)
This course examines biblical and practical ethics for ministers, emphasizing moral, financial, and professional conduct. Students learn proper protocol within the local church and the broader Body of Christ.
Focus Areas: Knowing your purpose; Making your calling and election sure; Character and protocol; Integrity in leadership; Conduct in the local and Lord’s Church; Pulpit attire; Life after the call; The Church’s mission—universal and local.

EMBRACING THE PASTOR’S VISION AS YOUR OWN
This course establishes the power and purpose of serving faithfully in another leader’s vision as a pathway to fulfilling one’s Kingdom assignment.
Focus Areas: Understanding, submitting to, promoting, and serving the vision (Armor Bearers; Ministry of Helps).

VALUING THE MENTOR–MENTEE RELATIONSHIP
This course develops healthy relationships between the Senior Pastor and ministers, teaching honor, prayerful support, and spiritual covering.
Focus Areas: Valuing pastoral relationships; Honoring leadership; Being examples for future ministers; Praying effectively for pastors; Guarding unity.

CHRIST’S REDEMPTION
Students gain a biblical understanding of redemption and their position in Christ through His finished work.
Focus Areas: The righteousness of God; The grace of God; The power of redemption.

FORGIVENESS
This course teaches the biblical mandate, power, and necessity of forgiveness as an essential outworking of Christ’s redemption. Students learn how forgiveness restores fellowship, releases freedom, and guards the heart from offense and bondage.
Focus Areas: Forgiveness through Christ’s finished work; Releasing offense; Walking in freedom; Maintaining spiritual wholeness; Living forgiven and forgiving others.

THE HOLY SPIRIT
A comprehensive study of the person, work, and present-day ministry of the Holy Spirit.
Focus Areas: The person of the Holy Spirit; Gifts of the Spirit; Operating in the gifts; Laying on of hands.

OPERATING IN THE GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT
This course introduces the biblical foundation and purpose of the gifts of the Spirit as manifestations of the Holy Spirit for edification and order within the Body of Christ.
Focus Areas: Identification of spiritual gifts; Purpose of the gifts; Biblical order and accountability; Edification of the Church.

UNDERSTANDING & OPERATING IN YOUR SPIRITUAL GIFTS
This course builds upon the Gifts of the Spirit by teaching students how to discern, develop, and properly operate in their God-given spiritual gifts with wisdom, humility, and submission.
Focus Areas: Discovering spiritual gifts; Proper operation; Maturity and accountability; Stewardship of gifts; Ministering with excellence and order.

FAITH
Students learn what faith is, how it is obtained, and how to live and stand by faith.

THE POWER OF PRAISE AND WORSHIP
This course explores worship as a lifestyle and ministry, teaching how to create and steward God’s presence.
Focus Areas: Creating an atmosphere of worship; Facilitating worship services.

THE PRINCIPLES OF PRAYER
Instruction on praying effectively across various expressions of prayer.
Focus Areas: Intercessory prayer; Focused prayer; Service prayer; Phone prayer; Offering prayer.

THE PRINCIPLES OF GIVING
A balanced biblical view of prosperity and stewardship.
Focus Areas: Honor seed; Tithing; Offerings; Special giving; Sacrificial giving.

EVANGELISM
Strategies and motivations for sharing the Gospel with integrity and love.
Focus Areas: Outreach that works; Leading others to Christ; Modeling Christ.

ALTAR WORK
Training to assist leadership during altar ministry and encounters with God.
Focus Areas: Praying at the altar; Anointing with oil; Laying on of hands; Discerning of spirits.

PASTORAL CARE
Foundational training in providing spiritual care during life events and crises.
Focus Areas: Communion; Visiting the sick; Funerals; Graveside committals; Grief counseling; Weddings.

SPIRITUAL GIFTS
Understanding and stewarding spiritual gifts for Kingdom impact.
Focus Areas: Discerning, understanding, operating in, and maintaining spiritual gifts.

SERMON PREPARATION
Training in rightly dividing the Word of Truth.
Focus Areas: Hermeneutics; Homiletics; Exegesis; Eisegesis.

Tuition is $500 per semester.

A $200 materials fee is required each semester.

A $50 one-time registration fee is required at initial enrollment and is non-refundable.
